Residential Supports

    This Program supports individuals in a variety of agency-managed settings including rural and in-town locations.  Locations include Bremen, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Newcastle, Nobleboro, Alna, Wiscasset, Waldoboro and Warren.  Participants may share their home with others who have developmental disabilities, and receive support from hourly staff, housemates, or a combination of these, depending on individual needs and resources.
     Staff supports are typically provided around the clock, however, several new programs have been established to provide less staffing by utilizing off-site supports.  Similar to other Mobius programs, residential supports provide the opportunity for individuals to learn new skills to live as independently as possible.  Individuals often may move on to the Independent Living Supports Program as skills increase and the need for on-site staff decreases.
